"Destruction and inner-suffering, you know it? You think you know it."
(The sound of falling water fills the scene over blackness.)
"The only suffering you know is that of which can be controlled. When the variable comes into play, you fold. You always have. You only mention your accompolishments, but neglect the way that they were attained. When somebody else mentions them, you stretch for lame excuses."
(The water dripping gets louder and faster. The blackness lessens and lessens.)
"You say that you do not care what others think of you, yet this whole run of yours is based off improving your image. Those are your words. I think deep down, you've always cared what others thought of you. You crave gold because it completes you. My legacy completes me. A legacy not built on gold but wins over people that have had more than their fair share of it. That has always been the difference between us. That central idea has split our journeys to the top. You have used people to get there and I have piled a river of blood to swim there. I care not what you believe to be the right way or the wrong way."
(A distorted image can be seen through haze now.)
"On our last show, our match ended in controversy. We are no stranger to that though. This time though, no disqualifications. That means no excuses. You and me, it's always been you and me. No matter where we go in the world, we always end right here face to face. I've taken your career before. I've taken your health in the past but there is still one last thing left. Your self-regard. You have bent me Downfall but never broken me. Not even fractured me. Theres an old syaing that says "never hunt what you can't kill." You may have injured me once but I only came back stronger and better. When I took your career, you have been on a slow dwindling decline eversince from where your once mighty career stood. Now it ends completely."
(The image now shows a man with his head down. There is a hat over his head. All around him rain is falling with extreme velocity. As he stands atop a rooftop, the city life can be seen behind him.)
"Now in a setting without rules or regulations, the man you think I have become will be your own downfall, pun intended. You think I've gotten softer over the years don't you? Well I assure you that the animal I have been is still in there. I have been saving that kind of onslaught for a rainy day. Not this rainy day, the rain cloud that is hovering over your remaining minutes. When the bell sounds in our next contest, then the rain starts. If only to wash your bleeding body, it will stand for the same purpose of washing away your shame. It's coming Downfall. The end is near. I promise you, that I'm going to hurt you. I'm ending a career rivalry. You will downplay your worries and thats what I want. I want you to believe that you have chance. Because when I squash you and I will, THAT is how I will take your pride. When that moment of realization hits you that no matter what you do to me, it not enough. Then you feel your grip losening and losening until it is no more. THAT is how I will incinerate your self-regard. Bring your jacket Downfall, or should I say Daniel, it's going to be a rainy day.
(The man raises his face and with a burst of lightning the face has never been more clear. The eyes have never been more serious. The face of Warpath has never been more candid.)
Scene ends..........
